Can my existing floor support the weight of a stone fireplace?
We will examine your floor’s structure to determine how much weight it can support. Additional reinforcement may be necessary. However, we can also install stone veneer on your fireplace to provide a natural stone exterior without the weight.
Can I install a TV above my stone fireplace?
Yes, but we may need to take precautions to protect your TV from the heat. A deep mantel, a recessed TV niche, and side vents can all make it safer to mount an expensive TV above your stone fireplace.
Do outdoor fireplaces require a special foundation?
Yes. We can install a reinforced concrete footing to support the weight of your outdoor fireplace and prevent it from leaning or cracking as the ground shifts.
Can you reface my brick fireplace with stone?
In most cases, yes. We can install a stone veneer over existing brick to transform your fireplace’s appearance without demolishing it first.
How does weather affect an outdoor masonry fireplace?
Natural stone can endure the elements without issues, but mortar can be vulnerable at times. We use only high-quality, professional-grade mortar to prevent damage by water and weather.
